Therapeutic Massage Techniques

Deep Tissue Massage—Focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Helpful for chronic aches and pains.

Relaxation Massage—is a smooth gentle flowing technique that promotes general relaxation, relieves muscular tension to improve circulation and range of movement. Relax, revive and rejuvenate at a massage depth that does not cause discomfort.

Thai Yoga Massage—is the practice of therapeutic healing with its origins in Thailand. Yoga bodywork focuses on improving and balancing the flow of energy throughout the body and combines therapeutic massage with dynamic assisted stretching.

Orthopedic Massage—focus on treating painful conditions that affect the soft tissues of the body. Aims to alleviate the source of bodily pain and tension.

Prenatal Massage—designed to be used during pregnancy. It is also called pregnancy massage and helps to relieve the aches and pains associated with pregnancy.

Child Massage—also known as Pediatric massage is a therapy to work on soft tissue and helps to improve the coordination of a child, improve the circulation and make a positive impact on overall health.

Lymphatic drainage—Massage encourages the natural drainage of the lymph system, which carries waste products away from the tissues.

Reflexology—Massaging specific areas of the foot in order to promote healing and relieve stress in other parts of the body.

Cupping treatment— a therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction is thought to improve circulation and the flow of energy in the body and facilitate healing.

Hot Stone massage—the use of heated smooth stones to apply pressure during the massage therapy session. The therapist will massage with the stones or place them in particular areas where the warmth will soothe the muscle and promote relaxation.

Indian Head Massage—works on physical, mental and subtle levels. It works on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, head and face—the areas most vulnerable to stress and tension. It is a de-stressing program for the whole body.
